Bar Supervisor
(casual or fixed contract)
We are on the lookout for a talented and experienced Bar Supervisor to join our taproom, nestled in the heart of North Hobart.
About the gig:
As a bar supervisor, you will assist the bar manager with venue operations and team management, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills.
Previous bar experience is essential, and supervisory experience is preferred, with a high level of organization and an ability to work unsupervised.
Our venue is open from 4-10pm Wednesdays and Thursdays, 12pm-midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, and 12pm-9pm on Sundays, with a focus on selling our own beer brewed on-site.
In addition to our craft beer, we proudly serve a range of other Tasmanian beverages including cider, wine, spirits, and soft drinks as well as delicious pub food.
We also regularly host private functions and events in our brewery warehouse.
Key Responsabilities:
- Opening and closing the venue
- Supervising junior staff when the venue manager is not present
- Assisting venue manager with running functions on the day/night
- Assisting the venue manager with inventory management and stock-take
- Ensuring excellent customer service from all FOH employees
- Dedication to (and responsibility for) safety and hygiene
- Dedication to responsible service of alcohol
- Liaising with the head chef and kitchen staff
- Assistance with external events and festivals
- Cleaning beer lines fortnightly
About you:
- At least 1 year of relevant experience (as a bar supervisor)
- Strong leadership, interpersonal & communication skills
- Dedication to exceptional customer service
- Drive, passion and integrity
- Valid RSA and driver’s license
- Preferably a high level of beer knowledge
