Imagine a place where you can chat, laugh, and learn with people from diverse backgrounds. That’s Guess My Accent at Shambles Brewery!
Whether you’re new to Hobart or have been here for years, Guess My Accent is your go-to event to make friends, practice languages, and build connections.
Ready to join the fun? We are hosting events once a month – on Fridays. It’s free to attend, and you’ll usually find 20 to 35 friendly faces ready to chat. Don’t worry if the RSVP numbers look low here – we have many regulars.
Painting Botanicals Workshop

As the days get warmer and longer, and flowers start to bloom, it’s the perfect time to celebrate the joys of spring with our Botanical Painting Workshop. Averill Lawler brings with her an abundance of flowers, and all the guidance you need to capture the essence of real flowers and create a beautiful, unique artwork on paper with ink and gouache paint.
No worries if you’re new to art – this workshop is all about having fun and getting creative. Come on your own or bring along your partner, friends, or family, and make it a memorable afternoon surrounded by beauty and art!

Hosted by Tasmania’s reigning queen, Rosa Rita, who’s been slaying all sort of stages, from the top of Mt. Wellington to our brewery.
Her energetic shows paired with her sense of fashion and style is a knock out by any standard.
So expect a performance that soars as high as an eagle and a Bingo night she’ll have in her pocket!
